The Show-Me Heroes program was launched by Gov. Nixon in 2010 to encourage Missouri employers to hire veterans, and to recognize the efforts of those employers. To date, more than 8,300 veterans have been hired by the more than 5,000 Missouri businesses that have taken the Show-Me Heroes pledge.
